The Collected Ghost Stories of E. F. Benson by Richard Dalby & E. F. Benson. This book includes 50 turn-of-the-century ghost stories from a master of the gothic short story. The Moonlit Road and Other Ghost and Horror Stories by Ambrose Bierce. This inventive 19th-century horror writer has often been compared to Edgar Allan Poe. It only has 12 stories, a small portion of Bierce's total work.
Best Ghost Stories of Algernon Blackwood by Algernon Blackwood. Contains 12 of Blackwood's best ghost stories, plus one crime story. The famous short story "The Wendigo" is included. Ghosts of Yesterday by Jack Cady. A collection of ghost stories, including some that have never been published outside of periodicals before, from an acknowledged master of the modern ghost story.
